Just watching the Blue Planet live thing with the kids.
They've just had a scientist on talking about how much gunk and fluff from washing gets into the water system and the oceans. Something horrendous like 700,000 fibres from each time you wash something made of acrylic. Polyester and polycotton not much better.
Just HORRENDOUS. Everyone's on board with stopping using plastic bottles and packaging. But this micro plastic pollution is every bit as bad. Truly shocking.
Especially the MN people who are washing huge amounts of clothing daily.
