AIBU to think most luxury fashion brands look naff?

I'm wondering if we're going to enter a counter culture to brand name labels on hand bags and clothes? They just look dated and naff to me. Thoughts? I can't take any big pattern or big label on hand bags seriously anymore. I also think it's really silly to pay more than necessary for a label. Maybe it's my age showing? I just think labels look awkward/dated now.

Do you mean clothes/ bags that have massive logos all over them? They’re pretty gr generally but I wouldn’t say no to some vintage LV luggage like they have in The Darjeeling Ltd.

Not keen on the huge MK logo.

And who wants to see NEXT on their childrens clothing.

I don't think it used to happen but somewhere along the line brands started to put their labels on The outside of clothing. People bought it and so the fashion stuck.

I agree with you, and I am someone who has quite the stash of expensive designer bags.

Fortunately I always preferred Bottega & Balenciaga to name a couple, and wasn't ever a fan of the heavily branded LV or Gucci. I will pass them onto my daughters as they will definitely age well.

But as I have got older I simply don't covet these things anymore. I still value quality, but without the .000 price tag.

I used to think it was tacky not going to lie I’m a fan of the trend now. As a matter of fact got my eye on this Fendi bag not that I can afford it

Brand logos are naff on anything other than sports gear, no matter what label they're displaying.

Admittedly I do have a liking for the little Scotty dog tags on the Radley bags.
