To ask if you've been to Center Parcs in Paris

Has anyone got any knowledge of Center Parcs in Paris- any recommendations about accommodation etc. Any info on whether there's a shuttle bus to Disneyland. Anything really! Tell me all you know MNetters!

Just to add, we're looking at going this August with a 4 year old and a 12 year old.

Do you mean villages nature? I haven't been but am on some Disneyland Paris Facebook pages.

I learnt loads on the pages. They are easy to find. I am on disneyland Paris tips for Brits and disneyland Paris for Brits but there are others.

From the info given in those pages there us a shuttle us, but there is a small charge. Not sure how frequent, I think people have mentioned every 30 mins.

I think even if you book through Disney you get 2 days park tickets included. If the disney offer includes a free meal plan, it would be vouchers to use in the parks only for the days you have tickets.

It would be great to get some info from people who have stayed there. I'm curious as to what the accommodation is like- is the basic ok or do you need to go up a level or two to get somewhere decent?

My db, sil and dc's have been several times. They love it and have said that it is much cheaper than going in this country!

We stayed last July. Drove there via the chunnel. Stayed in a vip 6 bed. Lovely area - otters, birds, swans and ducks all around our chalet. Really hot - no aircon. We took fans with us and we needed them. Really good swimming pool - with a rocket slide. We've stayed at many European parks - not the best but okay. Great farm and activities for little ones.

I think there is a shuttle bus to Disney on a regular basis. We drove and parked in the car park. Didn't go into Disney as we've been loads of times but used centreparcs as a base to travel into Paris and the surrounding area.

We've not stayed but we did have a day pass as part of our dlp trip last year. The pool is amazing! We also visited the farm and the kids loved the soft play there whilst I was kept amused with a bundle of Shetland ponies 😁

Stayed when it first opened. Loved it! Definitely go. It’s so handy for Disney.

We went in Feb half term. Loved it. We have been to several CP in Europe (2 others in France, one Belgium, one NL) and it has a very different ‘feel’ from the others.

We stayed in a 3-bed VIP lodge BTW.

I’m not an expert on French business, but I think all the French Center Parcs are run and managed by a company called Pierre et Vacances. I don’t know much about them, but they seem to be quite a large organisation. I think Disney got them involved with building the next phase of holiday accommmodation on the Disney site, and P&V built it on the Center Parcs model. Like the other Frenach CPs, you can buy the lodges as a sort of timeshare.

One thing I did find was that the self-catering facilities were a bit ‘lacking’ compared to other French Center Parcs. There was very little work surface space for preparing food on as a lot of it was taken up with coffee making gadgets. We stayed in a 6-person lodge and there was literally just 6 of everything - not great if you want to not have to use the dishwasher after every meal. We’ve never foudn this problem in other parks.

The cooking utensils weren’t as comprehensive as we’re used to at other parks - little annoyances like there was no jug. LIke other European parks, there is no oven.

The swimming pool got very busy first thing in the morning and later in the afternoon/early evening. It was empty in the middle of the day when everyone was out at Disney. Hardly anyone seemed to cycle on the park - the cycle parks were empty most of the time.

Not done centre parcs their but have done euro camp near Bernie Riviera which offered day trips to Disney. We went few yeaes ago and are going back in June so i imagine they would being so close as it would be crazy not to.

Off the back of this thread DH and I have just booked a trip for Easter. Couldn't believe how cheap it is compared to UK centre parcs!
Let's just hope we don't get stranded due to Brexit!

Have you looked at Eurocamp rather than centre parks Op? Eurocamps are great and there are ones around Disney

For the second week of April it's come to around £1500 for the three of us in a two bed chalet. DS is under 3 so I don't think they charge for him. There was a large discount due to the fact it's a last minute break.

That sounds about right for that park. It is the most modern and most ‘luxurious’ center parcs in France so is bound to be the most expensive. We paid 1500 for four for a week in Bois aux Daims back in 2016 when that was the newest CP in France.

We have stayed in Center Parc Le Lac d’Ailette which is not too far away. It is much better value for money as it is a much older site. I know other families that have used it as a base for visiting Disneyland Paris, so it is doable as a day trip. Disney has never really appealed to our family (we managed two weeks in Orlando without ever stepping foot on Disney property) so it’s not something we’ve ever seriously looked into.

skunkatanka There is no shuttle bus from that site as far as I can remember. It is a fair drive - 45 mins at least. I suppose it’s ok-ish if you want to be able to visit Disney and stay with all the facilities of a CP.
