OK I know this was totoally unreasonable but need to rant. Went to a visitor attraction today. Very busy so ended up in the overflow to the overflow and after doing battle with M25 first thing on arrival we needed coffee!

Headed to the nearest cafe, nearly walked out when I saw the price but was with an elderly relative and decided just to bite the bullet. After. 30 mins wait and several “it’ll just be a moments” for 1 tea and a coffee. They served up some brown dishwater in a thermos! Every other person in the place had the advertised ‘caffetiere’ ( yes I know caffetiere... don’t remember when that was last a thing?) but mine was worse than instant decaf. I returned it the the kitchen and cancelled my order but had to wait for the relative to finish theirs...

Took and hour and was a disaster. But mainly has anyone ever been charged more than 4 quid for a coffee?!?

Not me. That sounds like a pretty appalling experience.

Well which 'visitor attraction' was it?

£4.25 for a coffee?! In my area you could get a meal (hot) and a drink for that!

The RHS garden at Wisley. Yes you can get a hot meal and drink most places for that!

Radio Metro Arena Newcastle, just shy of £5 per cup of tea or coffee honestly it was vile and had to make your own tea...
