And can anyone please help me with mine 😂

I am 35 weeks today with my 2nd boy and I have the urge to eat chalk!! Crunchy chalk! I've tried to crunch on other things-- like ice, nuts, apples, but nope, always comes back to wanting chalk... what can I do and please help me before I order chalk and eat it--

I also get the urge to smell cleaning products what is wrong with me 🙂

Watercress. I mean I quite liked the stuff beforehand but my god, in my third trimester I was going through a couple of packs of it a day.
Still, it's quite healthy, I suppose.
I can take it or leave it now, in fact, the day after I had DS my DH bought me some and I was completely uninterested.
Also I really, really loved crunching on ice.
As for aversions, I went right off tea, blue cheese and a certain very rich and strong Italian red wine - just the sight of the bottle in the wine rack made me heave and I made DH hide it.

Two pregnancies and not a single craving in either here.

McDonald’s breakfast sausage McMuffin, I was mahoosive by the end of the pregnancy. I also couldn’t look at dogs without feeling like vomiting. On one particular eventful taxi ride, I passed one dog defecating then two dogs fornacating; just managed to get out of the cab intime to puke my guts up on the side of the street! the shame

@ahtellthee, no the other way round! With DS I mainly wanted sweet or stodgy things, but with DD I was sick every single day until about 28 weeks (which is why I suspected she was a girl!), and I think the gherkins made me feel less nauseous Confused

So happy to see other people craving cleaning products.

My big one is currently cif. Original not lemon. I could sniff it straight from the bottle all day. My partner keeps telling me off though, so on the plus side my bathroom has never been so clean as now I'm on maternity I'm cleaning at least twice a day just to try and get a fix!

There was a lavender disinfectant at work that a few weekends ago I absolutely could not stop thinking about. First thing Monday morning I diluted a pint of it in hot water to sit and sniff at my desk, the steam coming off it was just divine! I actually ended up taking a bottle of it home with me to avoid feeling like that again, it was so all consuming all weekend. It's not one you can get at a supermarket.

Finally, I really want to lick fresh concrete. I really want that dry sensation, possibly similar to your chalk craving. I was in heaven the other day working in a new industrial-y building that smelled like plaster dust/fresh concrete/ paint, but it was all I could do not to start licking the walls.Blush

All I can say is I hope these feelings vanish quick sharp once this baby is born in a week or so, as these cravings are just insatiable!

I liked to chew on wet sponges.

I don’t think I had any deficiencies or anything - both DS and I were fine. I can understand wanting to chew on chalk - it has a nice texture. Maybe you could munch on some Rennies or chalky mints or something? Like Extra Strong Mints?

People have already pointed out about pica (craving none food things) can be a sign of iron deficiency, do make sure you get yourself checked out op.

First time for me it was prawns, second time it was broccoli and red meat, all the red meat. I had gone off red meat for years before being pregnant and never really ate it and then all of a sudden it was all I wanted. I worried I had low iron but I was fine, I just wanted meat!

I also had an obsession with the smell of persil washing powder. When my husband went out I'd sit smelling the tub and running my fingers through it, it made me salivate, although I don't think I wanted to eat it. When the washing was done I'd stand sniffing the clothes too, my husband saw me doing this and thought I'd lost the plot. It was ever so odd.

DS1 - the smell of new carpet. I used to go to Carpetright in my lunch hour and sniff the samples.

DS2 - ice cubes and frozen peas

Fresh orange juice, when I'd always preferred apple previously. I couldn't get enough of it, it was the only thing that quenched my thirst. I must have drank gallons of it. My DS hated fresh orange for years, and wouldn't touch it!

KFC burgers and San Pelligrino Limonata. It was pretty much all I wanted to eat for the first trimester.

These all make me feel better and slightly less odd 😬 no offence, I just thought I was completely alone with crunchy chalk and cleaning products! I love the smell of the Aldi anti-bac cleaning wipes in orange, I just stand in the kitchen sniffing and inhaling the smell, I keep a pack next to me in the evening just to get my fix Blushalso have been watching them chalk crunching videos that seem to be all over Instagram at the moment, definitely something wrong with my love for chalk.

Cadbury's creme eggs, about 4 every day, but it was 1981 when they were lovely. The weight dropped off afterwards, if that's what you're thinking.

McDonald's banana milkshakes and roast beef flavour monster munch. I would actually drop DSS at school then go to the drive thru followed by sainsbury's to get the monster munch in the really big packets. Utterly disgusted with myself yet soooooo satisfying
