Are you in it? Have you won anything?

We signed up today, going to give it a go for 6 months. DH seems to think we will be winning a significant but not life-changing amount od cash pretty much any day now, I am a bit more skeptical.

They seem somewhat evasive about how they actually go about picking postcodes, and also about the actual odds of winning anything.

On the other hand we can afford £10 per month so why not?

We've won 3 £10's have been in it for just over a year

Won 3 x £10 in 14 months. Ive cancelled it now

Princessmushroom · 02/04/2019 21:38

My friend cancelled hers and then literally within a month her postcode won some BIG money. So I keep paying my £10 a month.

I’ve won more on the free postcode lottery - now called Pick My Postcode

CandyflossKid · 02/04/2019 21:42

I win £10 every couple of months

Snuffalo · 03/04/2019 08:09

@Treezylover it’s a commercial, for-profit enterprise and while they may give to charity that’s a minuscule percentage of their profits and just a marketing tool to make people like you feel better about what you must know deep down is a foolish waste of money, at best, and a dangerous pipe dream for people with gambling addiction or who live hand-to-mouth.

Treezylover · 03/04/2019 08:17

@snuffalo, I’d have to be paying £10 a month for the next 206 years to equal what I’ve gained from the People’s Postcode Lottery. Doesn’t currently feel like a ‘foolish waste of money’, but clearly you’re the expert.

You could always just play the free pickmypostcode lottery instead? I never win in that either but at least I didn't spend anything!
