In fact I can't bear hashtags at all in social media. I mean what the fuck are they for? Vomit inducing.

Anyone who baby-fies their name or their partners name. I know someone who adds ' -pickles' to their partners name everytime they post on social media. Bleurgh.

People who put 'proud mummy' in the middle of their name on Facebook.

Hospital check ins or selfies of themselves in a hospital gown.

Snap chat filters

Anything with a hashtag in front.

Oh and the whole ‘can you spare a moment to post this? Suicide awareness, I’m here’ etc etc. Not against this at all but on my timeline it’s normally the people who I’d never disclose mental health issues to because they’d use it as gossip fodder, or the ones I’ve heard bitching about others!! I’m going to talk to friends who will listen and won’t keep glancing at their phone to see how many likes their compassionate posts are gathering.

I think YABVU! What’s wrong with people celebrating, enjoying, sharing, photographing and joking about their lives? I love social media and really enjoy laughing at the minutiae of my friend’s lives. It’s lovely! I don’t have time to phone everyone each day but a quick scroll on SM and I can see what’s made everyone smile today... be that a funny moment with their cat, a fancy dinner out or a day trip with their kids. It makes me smile. Hashtags are just a laugh - lighten up OP!

Hospital check ins - especially when someone asks what's wrong and the reply comes back 'inbox me' or 'text you later'. Why check in to the hospital knowing full bloody well people will ask what's wrong if you're not going to reply? It's just attention seeking!
