But to be honest, I stopped spending so much time in social media and started spending more time on AIBU for precisely that reason. Now, my ‘living my best life’ type quotes are replaced with gems such as ‘get to fuck’ and ‘fuck the fuck off’

Does anyone ever notice some ridiculous twat who is clearly trying to get a photo of themselves/their kids/their dog for insta #livingtheirbestlife but clearly not having a good time... and then do you try and find it on social media later??
Once I was on a beach and a mum was barking orders at her two incredibly pissed off children on how she wanted them to pose etc for the camera, generally being a brat etc - everyone including Dad seemed to be having a shit time. Searched for the hashtag of the beach later that day. And there they were, living their best lives

Photos of people dressed the same with the twinning is winning hashtag. "Share if you hate cancer/child abuse/ whatever and anyone who doesn't share is heartless". All the living my best life, making memories stuff.

I love these threads. Reminds me that it's ok if your dc get dirty, have tantrums and wear clothes that don't match from asda. Sometimes it feels like every other parent is skipping around happily with their immaculate well behaved children who do educational craft activities without making a mess.
