Was told by a friend today that I'm not an idiot but simply childish... aibu to be quite upset with this given that I'm not at all immature or irresponsible. I like to have fun and laugh and sometimes have silly ideas but just because I enjoy living life doesn't mean I'm childish...

Childish or childlike?

Childish can have negative connotations, being childlike is very positive. We should all be a little more childlike.

Getting upset about something so small is quite childish. YABU.

You like to have fun and laugh and sometimes have silly ideas.

Can you give an example for context?

As in I like extreme sports and going out (not drinking) and reading on rooftops, nothing out of this world crazy. I have periods when I get severely depressed so when I'm not I like to just appreciate being alive and see the positive side of a situation that's all
