My other half thanked me for kissing him in the cheek. Now we are having a tough time at the moment so am trying to rekindle our relationship but found this strange.

You showed him some affection (not saying you don’t regularly) and he thanked you for it, it comes across like both of you made a nice gesture.

Freemind · 20/03/2019 23:11

Maybe he was just grateful for an affectionate gesture?

Thanks guys I think you are right intend to over think things alot , I've not been very affectionate in the past and recently due to been abused on past and now we have a little one it can be hard.

Oh OP. I’m so sorry. But reading that, I’d take it as a nice thing. He’s thanking you for doing something that made him feel good. x

Notice and thank him for something tomorrow, be nice back. x

If you can, try and give him a hug or a squeeze when you pass each other. It makes an astonishing amount of difference. Three-way hugs with the little one too. Warning: he might cry on you if it's been proper hard recently. Good luck!

Ah OP. This is making me feel all happy.

We do ‘family cuddles’ which my 6yo DS loves, especially if we can get the baby involved too.
