To be worried about ds

Posting in here for traffic.
Just after advice, my 11 yr old ds has just told me that all the boys at school hate him, and he's unhappy. He has one really good friend, but another boy is being moved into their class and my ds is worried his friend is going to go with the other boy (they all already know each other well).
I'm heartbroken for him, he cried this evening 😢 he's a lovely kind, caring boy, really lively and fun, he is quite immature and silly for his age, but other than that doesn't seem that different to lots of the other boys in his age group.
I don't know what to say to him, as I remember feeling the same at school, and it has left it's mark.
Any advice please?

YANBU at all.
Schools can be the most lonely places sometimes!
Could he do some extra curriculars to make new friends?

Is he year 6 or 7?

Year 7.
He does scouts and sometimes youth club, but it's the same people as we live in a village.
