Ok so im not usually a bitch. But Tina Malone has gone on tv saying she cant afford to take her kids to Disneyland because she has this huge fine to pay for outing the James Bulger killer . So fucking what. Boo hoo love. You made the mistake. You did it. Pay the fine and shut up. So many of us cant even afford a caravan holiday because of the shite this country is in. Who cares. Boils my piss. I would love to give my ds a real holiday just once in his short life. Im sure if she sells herself enough she could afford it this time next year. Sometimes people need to take what life has given you on the chin and get on with it.

I neither have sympathy for him or for her. Disneyland is a once in a lifetime trip for most kids and that's if they're lucky.

BunsOfAnarchy · 19/03/2019 19:14

Laws are laws. They are there to protect people. Yes the killer is the absolute most vile creature that has ever walked the earth and I do wish at times that capital punishment existed, purely for people like him. Or public stoning. Or the like
But she had no right to do what she did. The law is there for a reason. Plus she did it for herself. Not for poor J. Bulger. Not for Denise Fergus. She did it for her own gratification.
She should spend some time inside. It's only gonna have caused more harm and heartache to Denise and her family.
And now shes back on TV, making it about herself again? Fucking bell or what.

TriciaH87 · 19/03/2019 19:19

I think its more about the fact our legal system protects child killers over freedom of speech. They don't deserve to be protected after what they did. Why should they get to carry on living a normal life and possibly have a family after brutally murdering an innocent child. I think if i could not take my child away because their freedom is more important to our legal system than my right to talk or even just click share on a post i would be fuming. If she was not on tv i doubt they would have prosecuted her as i bet thousands shared the post.

Sitdownstandup · 19/03/2019 19:36

Some people seem not to understand that the laws we have about naming people in this position and sharing photos are there to protect a lot more than the killers themselves. You don't have the right to endanger other people, which is exactly what she did when she shared those images. Because people are stupid twats, they think they're entitled to kick the shit out of people they think have committed crimes, and stuff like this keeps everything at the forefront of the public memory and encourages it. There has already been one instance of a man being hounded to suicide, because of the sort of thick arsehole who reckons they're entitled to vigilante justice.

I would also point out again that we don't know whether it was actually JV and RT or not, and that at least some of the images that have been claimed to be them can't be, because there are multiple sets out there.

BejamNostalgia · 19/03/2019 19:52

But the thing is that James' mum and dad want the photo out there, don't they?

His mother doesn’t anymore. She’s asked people not to do it.

You’d think if she’d been Trustee for his trust she’d know better. It must be incredibly painful for James’s family when it’s constantly dredged up.

BejamNostalgia · 19/03/2019 19:53

Who was that?

Defenbaker · 19/03/2019 19:54

She did something illegal and incurred a fine, and now wants the public to fund her family holiday?!? Unbelievable.

Going off topic a bit, I saw her on CBB, sat on the couch, with her foot on her lap... chewing her own toenails!!! Just gross! Why would anyone WANT to do that, let alone in front of millions of viewers?!? That was enough to put me off her for life.

Lemonsquinky · 19/03/2019 20:00

Tina Malone got sacked from a pantomime for taking cocaine and calling it 'showbiz snow '. Maybe she should stop the expensive drugs and then she will have money for holidays.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 19/03/2019 20:00

I know tthat releasing pictures of people who are potentially not him is dangerous, but if she did have a picture of JV (I don't tthink RTs picture should be released as he has not reoffended AFAWK) then, I think it is a bit galling that her DC is being punished by loosing a trip to DL, when he as an adult is scum and has barely been punished at all! I personally do not think he should have been given a second new identity, particularly when he broke the terms of not returning to Liverpool and so on. It has done him no good to have a new identity.

Though I think it was wrong to identify them in 1993 tbh. DS1 was just a baby at the time and I was 19/20 and I remember thinking how wrong the judge's decision to do it was. This was compounded when they were released and there were comparisions with the Mary Bell case in the paper and iirc, she was not identified at the time in pictures and was sent to a reform school rather than prision and has never been heard of again.

I feel for RT as an adultt, actually, because whenever JV is mentioned in the media, he must be on edge and relive it all when he sees himself as a 10yo on the newspapers. He must be afraid that someone will recognise him and attack him, even though, he seems to have changed. I also read somewhere that he is apparently in a relationship with another young man, despite having had girlfriends in the past, and I wondered if that was because he does nott want to risk having a child and realising how tiny and helpless JB was and how monstrous his actions were, now he can fully comprehend that from an adult perspective. Of course, he may have realised he is/was gay as he matured, but I did wonder.

Tbh, I think the only answer for JV is to lock him up forever, he had he chance to be rehabilitated and it has failed, he is an adult now, not a child. I do not think it fair to JBs parents that he be given another chance or that the public have to pay for another identity. Yet at the same time I don't think an eye for eye is right, so he needs to protected from mob justice, but I don't think he should enjoy freedom IYSWIM.

Petalflowers · 19/03/2019 20:01

My dh has the same name as a waiter in a town we used to live in. Dh received a phonecall once from someone telling him to leave her alone etc. It was quite an unpleasant phonecall.

Years later, when I worked in the restaurent, we met his namesake, and realised what had happened.

So mistakes do happen and dh didn’t look like waiter, just shared the same name. This was in the days before the internet, so finding peoples details was a lot harder.

So, although like everyone else I don’t like what Venables did, I can understand the protection to protect wider public.

AgentCooper · 19/03/2019 20:02

@BunsofAnarchy Nail on the head. She did this for herself, no altruism there whatsoever. These idiots who reckon everyone will think they’re saintly for posting/sharing things online while acting like feckless pricks in their own lives. It is absolutely her fault that her children can’t go to Disneyland.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 19/03/2019 20:10

Not weighing in on what she did.

It was the way she came across that was just absolutely atrocious- shes a terrible, terrible actress. Fake tears, endless plugging of new show, 'poor me', no Disneyland, I have a Nokia, Ive never sent an email, Im a Catholic and I spoke to my priest... Shut. the. fuck. up.

One long boring pity party to try and get her on other talk shows etc. Urgh.

Havent felt like slapping someone so much in a long time.

shatteredandstressed · 19/03/2019 20:22

I'm with @Huskylover1 & @Birdsgottafly on this.
Tina Malone's punishment seems very disproportionate to JV crimes.

I agree she's a bit daft to whinge about Disneyland however, and in general she is rather dim.

sagradafamiliar · 19/03/2019 20:25

It was the 'I won't share pics of frogs and cats ever again' bollocks that did it for me, with the implication that her 'lesson learned' was to not use social media as opposed to stop doing illegal shit. She should've owned what she did in the style of several PPs. Whilst I don't agree with what she did, there are people who believe (without taking vigilantism and mistaken identity into account), that the public should be aware of the offenders' info. But instead she had to pretend she didn't understand anything about anything and she didn't know what she was doing.

Cherrysherbet · 19/03/2019 20:26

Can’t stand her.

Sitdownstandup · 19/03/2019 20:26

Then she should use her fucking sense in the future. Her actions could've lead to plenty more child suffering than her kid losing a Disney holiday. Someone could easily have been killed and late 30s, the age Venables and Thompson are, is an age where many have dependent children.

Really though, what this comes down to is that people need to separate what she did from what those two did. You don't get to go and do whatever dangerous shit you feel like because you're unhappy about a sentence. That's the end of it. The one doesn't justify the other. I say this as someone who feels Venables should've run out of chances some time ago.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 19/03/2019 20:34

I cannot stand this woman. Makes my skin crawl.

rockingthelook · 19/03/2019 22:26

She is just foul, famous for one role in her acting career (but not having to 'act' too hard, made for the role!), and losing weight, everything that she does she has some excuse for. Time for her to accept that the way she behaves has consequences, she can't afford to take her child to Disney?, guess what neither can I and lots of other parents?, and surprisingly enough, they've not suffered, get a grip woman!

UnspiritualHome · 20/03/2019 00:07

You'd think she'd kipnapped a toddler, sexually assaulted him and killed him.

Well, no.

Due to the fact that punishment for kidnapping, assault and murder is a hell of a lot more than a fine.

GrimDamnFanjo · 20/03/2019 00:12

Tina Malone did it because she could and was daft enough not to have considered the consequences of her actions.

puppy23 · 20/03/2019 00:31

When I first heard about the case I thought fair enough, Venables has committed awful crimes, not just aged 10 but in recent years too - he's a risk to children. BUT her interview on This Morning threw me off.

She claimed to have no social media understanding, yet has 23k tweets. And the constant mentions of Disneyland and whatever programme she's going to be on????

SleeptightDaisy · 20/03/2019 01:09

Perhaps if she didn't spend so much on cocaine she could afford to pay for Disneyland herself. FFS there are people who can't afford enough food for their family.

Ferfeckssake · 20/03/2019 01:25

And that God awful hairstyle is a fucking crime in itself.Baby Jane anyone?
Did she serve any jail time for the cocaine bust?

notsurewhatshappening · 20/03/2019 01:36

Entitlement is not attractive. She is desperate and a wannabe IMO.
