To be worried for my daughter- re boobs!

My dd is 12 and is very tall and naturally slim. She has a great figure and is lovely. However she is getting upset as she says she is the only girl in her class without boobs. She goes to a mixed school and some of the bastard boys have teased her about it. She started her periods last month but still only has very slight breast buds that she's had for over a year. Does anyone think she will develop now her periods have started? Did anyone else develop late even though they'd started periods? Worried for her she has such a beautiful little figure but all she cares about is fitting in

I started my periods at just turned 12 but was a very slim girl. I had small breasts all through my teenage years/twenties. Even now, at 32, having had a child, I am only an A cup.

When I was younger, I wished for bigger boobs but actually, once I got to my late teens, I was quite happy the way I was.

The best thing is to just keep reassuring your daughter is lovely as she is and that everyone is different. Also point out that many ladies who have bigger breasts wish they were smaller! We all want what we don't have sometimes

Everyone was teased when I was at school. I was teased for "massive" boobs (34c at the time, my 34G self looks back and chuckles). Friend teased for flat chest "she's a boy", other friend teased because she had "perfect boobs for a handful each". It was gross and I was SO happy to switch to single sex for 6th form where there was none of that.

I had very small breasts for years and years, until I got pregnant at 37 really - at which point they expanded beyond all recognition. I wished they were bigger for literally decades. I am now an F cup and had no idea how annoying breasts can be and how many things you can't wear with bigger breasts. If I could go back to my little breasts, I'd definitely choose that in an instant! Not needing a bra was wonderful!

Those boys sound horrible by the way and I would be complaining about this in your shoes. It's not OK, however common it is.
