Breastfeeding advice?

Hi!
Bit of back round first. My DD is almost 2 and breast fed. She's always struggled falling asleep by her self so I usually end up feeding her to sleep as she's never bothered with dummys, blankets, teddy or any other form of comfort except me. My DH is not hands on at all and has never tried to put her to sleep so I've not had a night away from her yet.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice about how to stop breastfeeding at this stage? How do I get her to sleep with out a boob?

I'd ideally like to get her away from the boob as my work commitments are going to change soon.

Probably a better place to post?

Unfortunately I found just stopping worked. Some tears for a hour or so but stuck to it. My DC was 2 also.

Sympathies OP!!

Thankfully my 18 month old will go to sleep for his naps and initial bedtime without needing to be fed to sleep but when he wakes in the night (at least twice) unless I feed him to sleep he will not settle.

It’s exhausting!!

I’m away overnight about 2 times a month due to work and my DH always has a horrendous night because when our son wakes up it’s a nightmare for my DH regarding getting him back to sleep!!

With my first son I used sleep training to break the “feed to sleep” behaviours and it worked really well, but DS was a lot younger at 10 months and I was still on maternity so having a week of crap nights was bearable.

I know I need to go cold turkey on night feeds but I just can’t face it because it’s going on be so so difficult.

I just stopped offering boob, it took a couple days but it worked!
