Kids Train tracks

My dd is on the way to Manchester, there are kids riding on bikes along the tracks, then following the train across the tracks. Wtf is the world coming to, the train keeps having to stop.
IABU to think we need all those public information films back.
I've told her to call transport Police as she has this ready on phone.
She said she's going to ask if the driver can go backwards.

Totally missing the point of the thread but why would the driver need to go backwards?!

Wait kids have got onto the tracks and are delaying the train by riding along the tracks? That is not normal and the police would have been automatically called.

ATB.

My dd was being sarcy as in back up and run them over.

Yes, teens quite a number. The first train was cancelled and she's just been sat on train going nowhere.
To begin with they were riding along the side then as the train past they darted behind. Then up the track more were cutting across in front of the train.
I don't understand why teens today would do such a thing.
I know you'd expect the odd idiot but dd said there were a large group.

Sorry point of thread is do we need public info adverts again, are teens really so stupid to do this, or isolated incidence.
