Hard to choose - there’s so many things I’d love to do!

First choice would be an MA in creative writing, obviously followed up by becoming a bestselling author Grin

I’m really hopeless at cooking and would love to have more culinary know how, so a cookery course would be great. I’d do this alongside some gardening/horticultural training so I could grow much of my own food.

I would love to be an interpreter. Unfortunately I'm monolingual, but if I had time I'd learn 5 languages and be an international woman of mystery.

Fortybingowings · 16/03/2019 23:43

I'd train as a vet if I had the money and if I was younger.

SteelRiver · 17/03/2019 00:02

If I was in good health (I'm not) and had the cash and time, I'd train to be a Display Artist.

It was the only career I wanted when I was at school, but there were no local colleges which offered the course so it was a non-starter, sadly.

Hayls17 · 17/03/2019 00:05

I’m in retail management and hate it, I’m currently retraining to be an accountant.

MerryInthechelseahotel · 17/03/2019 08:18

pineapple Have you already got a degree?

ExtraPineappleExtraHam · 17/03/2019 17:36

@MerryInthechelseahotel me? Yes in English Literature

HexagonalBattenburg · 17/03/2019 17:43

I'm 40 and I'm doing interviews at the moment to go back and retrain as a Speech and Language Therapist. I figure I've still got half my working life ahead of me so fuck it I'm going to go for it. I'm in teaching at the moment but have a daughter with speech and communication problems that started the fascination with it all off and it's just spiralled as I've seen the implications and challenges it's brought her growing up.

(Fingers crossed for the interviews - did one a couple of weeks ago, have another in a couple of weeks).

pinkmagic1 · 17/03/2019 17:44

All the money and free time in the world, I would love to study vetrinary medicine.

unusualcolours · 17/03/2019 19:37

If only I had the time and money I would love to retrain as an architect. Really interested in designing SEN schools at the moment. Guess I will have to stick with The Sims!

booksandcaffeine · 17/03/2019 19:43

I'd like to go into mental health/learning disability nursing (I know the latter isn't a popular one) one day

WeShouldBeFriends · 17/03/2019 19:58

HexagonalBattenburg Good Luck!

supadupapupascupa · 17/03/2019 20:00

Actually I trained as an accountant and it's turned out to be perfect! The one job I'm useful at in my husbands company that means I can work flexible part time hours whilst being carer for our child. I would choose the same again

Chlo1674 · 17/03/2019 20:02

I would absolutely love to be a midwife.

April241 · 17/03/2019 20:06

Currently a nurse but would actually love to be a florist strangely.

I don't have a degree though so I've done a module towards it and am waiting for the go ahead for my next module. Ill always be a nurse though, I like the huge variety of specialities that are available.

Ted27 · 17/03/2019 20:08

MerryInthechelseahotel · 17/03/2019 20:18

ExtraPineappleExtraHam my dd has looked into this and it seems good. It's a two year masters degree and you are paid throughout.

I want to set up my own business supporting teens through life choices and crisis

or I'd set up an NCT for parents of teenagers

NicoAndTheNiners · 17/03/2019 20:25

Not training as such but I'd love to do an American studies degree. I reckon when I retire I will do it, as I'll never have to pay the course fees back!
