Has aibu ever changed your opinion on something that you thought you had absolutely made your mind up on?
Not me personally, yet but I don't hold awfully strong opinions and tend to try and see the other perspective.

OP posts:

Yes, all the time.

Sparklingbrook · 13/03/2019 23:00

Not that I can think of.

GlitterPixie · 13/03/2019 23:01

Not really but I have read posts and thought that I’ve never thought of things that way

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 13/03/2019 23:35

Often. I open the post and read the OP with assumptions, I then read other posters comments, and I change my mind. This is often from good arguments posters have put forth.

But then I am the type of person who has ideas about things, but those ideas aren’t set in stone. Therefore I can easily change my mind. Although I know this annoys those around me, as I can change my opinion so easily, and sometimes frequently!

It's made me more open-minded I think and less quick to judge. I've seen posters on here share utterly heart-breaking stories, impart wisdom of the kind that you really can only get from someone with lived experience of a situation and share tales of breathtaking extremes of behaviour from those who have made huge sacrifices for others to the most eye-watering cheeky-fuckery, all of which have opened my eyes to whole realms of human existence that I could never have heard about first-hand were it not for posters on here.
