Got very upset watching some of the horses fall today at Cheltenham Sad

I can't help but feel sad when it happens.

Again, that's a nonsensical argument; a living animal being bred for a particular reason isn't ok if it's being treated cruelly.

But they carry on when their jockeys fall off

Herd instinct. Instinct says horse at front or in the middle are safest from preditors. Horses at the back or alone are wolf food. That's why they run still - they are following the safety of the herd.

Well I dont believe they are treated cruelly. Humans humanize animals feelings.

Brilliantidiot you now consider yourself a superior horseman to Joseph O'Brien? Idiot sounds about right. Sir Erec was produced and trained by probably the most professional, careful, detail-obsessed stable on the face of the planet. His shoe was replaced by what will have been one of the most accomplished farriers around. You evidently did not watch the race or you would have seen that he was not wound up but stood quietly. You hardly think he went out to run with a shoddy shoeing job? Sadly he sustained a severe injury and could not be saved but it was nothing whatsoever to do with the pre-race incident.

MissUGirl have you been involved much with fostering of foals? I have. Foster mares are very expensive to hire, as they should be. Their foals are potentially as valuable as themselves and are not discarded.

@villainousbroodmare

No I didn't watch the race. Which is why I put 'As I understand it' which is from someone at Cheltenham, and then the reports I've read - I didn't say it absolutely was, but as I understand it, said it twice actually. I don't consider myself anything but you obviously do, there's no need to be so damned condescending and rude. And idiot I may be, but at least I can read. Tit.

Poor bloody horse, totally and utterly avoidable and the course official, farrier and trainer need holding to account for allowing that horse to race.
I'd suggest you shouldn't make statements like the above then, if you're going to base your accusations on hearsay.
