now you see blackcurrant are my favourites - wish I'd had your packet! I always seem to end up with loads of green ones which are my least fave.

Sixofone · 09/07/2007 11:40

Oooh I like the black ones best too, hate the orange and yellow ones! I may remember this incorrectly, but didn't they do a 'special' a few years back which was a whole tube of blackcurrant ones?

EffiePerine · 09/07/2007 11:42

Complain. Friend complained to Haribo about the measly number of fried eggs in her Starmix bag and got a hige bag in return and an apologetic letter

queenofcontradictionelizabeth · 09/07/2007 11:48

Last time I had a tube there were 6 yellow ones and no black/red. I emailed them to complain and got nothing but a "we do try to have an even mix of flavours".

I boycott Nestle now (not because of this though )

EffiePerine · 09/07/2007 12:40

ah, Nestle obv mean. Haribo said 'on this occasion you appear to have received a Bad Mix'

sandyballs · 09/07/2007 12:42

No not unreasonable at all. I would incandescent with rage

mother2b · 09/07/2007 12:59

ok, just wanted to satisfy my need for red fruit pastilles

in pack no. 2 of the day there was 1 red, 2 orange and the rest were black and yellow

Not one green one????

OP posts:

TinyGang · 09/07/2007 13:02

That is outrageous! (Did you eat them anyway though)

Effie I would so love to know how the complaint to Haribo about the lack of fried eggs was worded

Bouncingturtle · 09/07/2007 13:02

They do a bag of black and red ones you know.
Just give the black ones away and you have a bag of red ones!
Complain to Nestle, they'll send you a voucher or something.

stealthsquiggle · 09/07/2007 13:03

Personally that would be one too many as I hate the red ones - can we organise a swap as black are my favourite?!

All you need is me or some similarly sane black-fruit-pastille-loving person - and then you can buy one of the special bags which only have red and black ones in

I would send you all the red ones from my last bag but I got stuck in traffic and reduced to eating them in order to stay awake...

stealthsquiggle · 09/07/2007 13:03

xpost turtle - great minds think alike...

Bouncingturtle · 09/07/2007 13:03

There we go. Problem solved

EffiePerine · 09/07/2007 13:05

Is there a market for a MN Fruit Pastille Colour Swap? I love the green ones, so I could have a lot to gain

mother2b · 09/07/2007 13:16

I do get the bags with reds and blacks in because DP loves blackcurrent things [puke] but there always seems to be loads more black than red

have eaten all but the blackcurrent ones and the red because im going to savour that on my break

OP posts:

stealthsquiggle · 09/07/2007 13:17

your'e buying the wrong ones - I am sure there are always more red (yuk) than black (yum) in mine

stealthsquiggle · 09/07/2007 13:20

that would be "you're" .

Bouncingturtle · 09/07/2007 13:35

Hmm just had a thought, where's the Mumsnet police telling us we can't eat Fruit Pastilles because they are made by the evil Nestle?

stealthsquiggle · 09/07/2007 13:42

I ignore them because DH goes on and on about it and then drinks Nescafe so chances are more of the MN Nestle police do similar things

mother2b · 09/07/2007 14:29

i love nestle chocolate, i cant stand cadbury's

hmm kitkat [drool]

OP posts:

Bouncingturtle · 09/07/2007 19:26

No I have to admit I prefer cadbury's. Except I adore Milkybar!!!

Sixofone · 09/07/2007 22:23

I am going to out myself as a closet Chunky Kit Kat lover I didn't like the peanut butter ones though

aloha · 09/07/2007 22:24

The other day I had to explain to my ds that this kind of thing is random and there is Nobody To Blame. He is five btw

IdrisTheDragon · 09/07/2007 22:24

You can get whole tubes of blackcurrant ones.

MrLeadbetter314 · 08/03/2016 08:30

After Carefully considering your conundrum, we have concluded that there was insufficient evidence to doubt the Roundtree’s distribution of red fruit pastels. This is because the probability that you will get only one fruit pastel or less is 0.19, which is higher than the significance level of 0.05, meaning there is no cause for concern, and no reason to moan.
