Hey everyone
So was just wondering when everyone stopped bleeding pp? I'm nearly 7 weeks and still going! Sorry if tmi! Tia.

14 weeks pp.

Last baby was about ten weeks pp but then started bleeding again a week later!

Stopped after 3 months for a week. Went back on the pill. Bled for 3 more months. Stopped the pill bleeding stopped and cycle back to normal. Utterly terrified to go back on pill in case I get the bleeding problem again but will broach that when I don't want another.

Don't know if it was pill or bf that caused it all or both but doc wasn't much help so managed it myself

I've given birth twice & bled for a max of 3wks pp both times. 7 weeks seems very long. I would raise this with the gp. What did they say at the 6wk check up? I BF both of mine, not sure if that makes a difference to pp bleeding.

@Sassypants82 I've had an infection previously this has been treated but still bleeding, I also bf, they weren't much help just another load of antibiotics but again still bleeding x

Seven days after all of my children. My periods were back to normal a month later and I EBF all of them. Clearly I am of zero help.

Go back... I said max of 3 wks but I think it was closer to two & I distinctly remember the midwife saying to get it checked if pp bleeding went over 6 wks. I'm amazed at some of the number of weeks people are posting here. Hope you're on iron?

Can someone recommend pads? First baby did not know about this

I'd stopped bleeding by 3 weeks pp, I ebf.

I used the always pads. They had maxi night ones which were really padded. And then I used (and still do) the 3 or 4 always night time as they are much longer

Rd bleeding for along time.. I didn't get my 6 week check until 8 weeks and the doc wasn't that bothered.

Mine only properly stopped when I stopped taking the pill. Think my system needed a break from hormonal meddling
