Baby shower gifts!

I've been hectic these past few weeks- been unwell, have had DC unwell and DC's birthdays so I've kept putting off the fact that I have a friends baby shower today.

Everyone's got personalised or expensive or well thought out gifts (for someone who already has everything!) and I'm now a couple of hours before pretty skint with no idea of what to get and about an hour to get it!

Any ideas? I'm an idiot for leaving it so late that I'm stressing about it!

Oh don’t stress please! Is there a TK Maxx near you? If not pop to Sainsbury’s and buy a couple of nice books for baby and some bubble bath for the mum. Don’t worry about it st all OP!

@GreatDuckCookery didn't even think of TKMaxx but that's always a good idea! Thank you for jogging my brain! Grin

just get a pretty outfit or something. there shouldn't be an expectation of spending a fortune on someone else's baby. I got a really simple outfit and the mum and dad to be loved it

Books are a good idea, or something useful like a blanket or a box of wipes.
My husbands friend bought us two boxes of wipes when our son was born as he wasn't sure what to buy and honestly, it was great, they lasted us so long as well!

At the last few baby showers I've been to I've bought a lovely basket and filled it with books wrapped in tissue paper to make Baby's First Library.

A bottle of something lovely for Mum to look forward to is always nice, too.

Some nice outfit/ I like the idea of the basket with books ...don't stress yourself!
