To call out this real estate for being a misogynistic douche?

Recently moved out of a rental, had huge dramas with the real estate as it were - wouldn't do basic maintenance without a long wait (took them 12 months to fix our en-suite rendering it useless unless we wanted to damage the walls and carpet from the leaking) and didn't like me when I called them out on their legal responsibilities to fix it within 4 weeks - ended up in a retaliatory eviction so there's clearly no love lost between us.

Worked my arse off cleaning the house and left it in a much nicer state than when we'd first moved in - how convenient that they've 'lost' or 'can't find' our in-going condition report rendering my hard copy moot because they can't be 'certain' of when I filled it out.

Anyway, final inspection yesterday at 8am and despite being told I'd have the final report by lunch I didn't get it until 7.30pm.

One of the comments for us to 'address' in order to get our bond back states:

"Also, if toilet blocking is a result of flushing sanitary items, tenant will be responsible for cost of plumber (otherwise it will be owner's expense)"

What the actual fuck?!

The toilet for starters isn't blocked, of that I am certain, seeing as how I'm the one who scrubbed it clean and had to flush the cleaning solution and would've noticed if it was blocked.

Secondly, a toilet being blocked could be for a range of reasons - but no, it MUST be the menstruating women of the world flushing their sanitary items?!

I have to respond to him about a variety of things, but I particularly want to pull him up over what a bullshit assumption to make and to put in writing on the official report.

I feel like pointing out to him that during our tenancy of 19 months I was pregnant for the first 5 months, I then went on to fall pregnant again 8 weeks after our son was born, I then had an early labour at 5 months which resulted in a still born and have found myself pregnant again 4 months after that - so in this time, I've actually not even HAD a period (and am the only female in the house sans our 2yr old daughter).

I knew they'd be dicks and try and money grub as much of our bond as possible - but this just takes the fucking cake.

Anyone up for helping me with a particularly witty response? If you don't think I'm BU that is Wink

It probably means the ‘flushable’ toilet wipes that aren’t actually flushable and are a common cause for blockages.

I dont think its misogony to say that if you block the pipes by putting unflushable stuff down the toilet then you pay to fix it.

That includes babywipes which can be used by either sex and shouldnt be flushed either
