to read a statement at the start of the MIAM?

I have a MIAM next week. My ex was emotionally abusive towards me for quite a long time. I left with our son. I'm worried I won't get across how much he's damaged me and my life. I am fully expecting him/her to say that mediation is not suitable. WIN stupid to write a statement outlining things to read at the beginning of the meeting so I know I've said everything I need to say? Or is that a stupid idea?

If it helps you then write it and read it. Take time to make sure you include everything. The advantage of writing it and reading it is that you can make sure nothing is missed out.

@John470322 that was my plan. I'm feeling a bit weak at the moment and emotionally battered.

@Lovelysiah Use the written statement to make you strong. You can do it and will do well
