So wish I never read this post - no wonder the Nutella lashed pancakes filled me up

Myusernameismud · 05/03/2019 22:06

Also in the name of science, I weighed a rounded dessert spoon. 35g. So that's around 170ish calories?!
I worked this out in the name of science you understand, and it's actually a shame because that Nutella can't go back in the jar now, it's contaminated by ramekin. I'll eat it to save wasting it.

Good job I can't stand the stuff then Grin

QuestionableMouse · 05/03/2019 22:08

I don't like it.

The toffee spread from Lidl is really nice though.

Sosad2004 · 05/03/2019 22:09

Get it spread onto a biscuit 🍪 - mmmm

SrSteveOskowski · 05/03/2019 22:09

I absolutely HATE the stuff. I hate Ferrero Rocher as well. Bleurgh!

Stopandlook · 05/03/2019 22:10

Jim Jams hazelnut spread. The only substitute my kids accepted, 83% less sugar and ‘sustainable palm’ apparently.
Still tastes good by the spoonful ....

ZanyMobster · 05/03/2019 22:11

I love nutella, so does DS10 but he no longer wants to buy it due to the palm oil so I bought chocolate treat sauce. Still tasted pretty good with banana and pancakes!!

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree · 05/03/2019 22:11

Nutella is full of palm oil so I now refuse to eat it. I buy Gü hazelnut chocolate spread instead. 1 jar does not last long at all.

SpamChaudFroid · 05/03/2019 22:11

How long would this trough of nutella last?

ZanyMobster · 05/03/2019 22:12

Stopandlook - where can you get that from?

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 05/03/2019 22:18

Lotus biscoff is my new favourite spread. DM works for the purveyors of Rocher and Nutella so I think it's taken the shine/novelty value off for me

scissorsandpen · 05/03/2019 22:18

sciience and full research with lots of testing is a absolutely key ! Didn’t know about the palm oil does put you off .

Cadburys choc spread. Mmm.

If Ive ever been in a continental hostel/hotel etc and ended up with those individual portions of Nutella, Ive licked them out of their container at night when no one is looking.
Are they also 80cal a lick container?

LHMB · 05/03/2019 22:25

I really want to try the maltesers spread now

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/03/2019 22:26

SleepWarrior · 05/03/2019 22:30

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 05/03/2019 22:31

Ninkaninus · 05/03/2019 22:32

Teaspoon dipped into peanut butter, then dipped into Nutella = heaven. Like Reeses peanubutter cups but much, much better...

I need to buy a jar of Nutella tomorrow!

scissorsandpen · 05/03/2019 22:35
