Have I miscarried?

I’ll start with some info to avoid drip feeding and apologies for TMI

I usually start my period anywhere between 20th or 25th of the month (never gone back to clock work after birth 3 years ago!)

Usually have typical symptoms, emotional and sore tender breasts (last two cycles). Have always had bad cramps and heavy flow with a few little clots/ stringy bits?

Discharge is usually non existent couple days before period is due.

Went through February gearing up for my period to start, 17th started cramping , sore breasts and insatiable appetite took it as I’ll start on 20th. That came and went cramping stopped and breasts remained sore and tender. 25th came and went and. Noticed increased discharge (sorry tmi) and started wondering?

Thought perhaps recent stresses have delayed even further than the common weeks difference. Friday morning (1st March) I took clear blue digital tests both negative.

Yesterday midday sudden bad cramping whilst walking round shops next baby section , ran to the toilets to find I’d come on. Severe cramping follows as do some huge clots. I put it down to accumulation after such a long delay. Today still clotting with severe cramping and noticed grey/brown/pink lumpy clots.

As of two hours ago all cramps have disappeared and flow seems to have steadied.

Does anybody have any thoughts ?

Thank you.

Sorry for the long post! I posted it in chat but had no response

If the pregnancy tests were negative then I doubt it - they tend to stay positive for a few days post miscarriage because the hormones are still in your system.

You're likely right and it's just because your cycle was slightly longer than usual, or something else could be at play (though what I don't know).

They were negative before any bleeding I guessed perhaps too early to test? Something just seems odd about the whole thing! Will book in for an appointment tomorrow at GP. Not sure what she could tell me !

No. Just a bad period.

It happens.

Unlikely with a negative test. If your period was just delayed it would probably be heavier than normal.

I think it could be. Sometimes it takes a while to get a positive test even if you are pregnant and if it was a pregnancy that was never quite right from the beginning then your HCG level might have been quite low. If large clots are unusual for you (I never get them with a period but I did with my early miscarriage) then I think it’s feasable, particularly with the potential tissue you’ve described. I guess you’ll never know for certain which is tough, hope you’re ok x

In my mind I’m convinced it was just an off period but my guts saying something else? I don’t think I realised how disappointed I’d be at the prospect of not being pregnant

I wouldn’t bother seeing the GP. What do you think it would achieve?
