I just watched Mamma Mia 2.

If I say it was the biggest pile of steaming shite ever, am I out of the gang? Honest to God I don’t know what I wanted to gouge out first, my ears, my eyes or my brain.

Does anyone else have anything else to admit? You didn’t fancy Patrick Swazye in Dirty Dancing?

OP posts:
CatinMyLap · 02/03/2019 22:48

Star Wars
Jurassic Park
Friends
Harry Potter
...all a pile of wank, wtf

And drawing on eyebrows. God no

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 02/03/2019 22:49

Harry Potter Mania
Love Island
X Factor, The Voice, Strictly and their ilk
Loose Women
I never drooled over Patrick Swayze but don't mind Dirty Dancing if nothing else to watch

Insomnibrat · 02/03/2019 22:49

Gin isn't gin anymore. It's been bastardised to within an inch of itself with horrendous flavour combinations and faddy bullshittery.

It's mostly alcoholic syrup now, no where near the elegant, floral beauty it used to be.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 02/03/2019 22:50

@Kneehighm Grin Torvill and Dean,

Kneehigim · 02/03/2019 22:50

Oh and this is one peculiar to Mumsnet. You can not buy a dog unless it's from a reputable Kennel Club breeder. If you can't afford that, you must rescue a dog. One rule for the rich, one rule for the poor.

Boobahs · 02/03/2019 22:51

Hate ABBA.

Never have or want to watch any of Sex And The City.

Can't stand rom-coms.

Have never been to a Wagamama's.

Think weddings are a waste of money.

Can't see the point of drinking at home.

JuniLoolaPalooza · 02/03/2019 22:52

I've never watched Love Island, which makes me feel a bit left out when it's all over the internet all the time.

Aside from that, my life is rather like Parly's. Fortunately, most of my friends and colleagues don't even own tellies but they are constantly on Twitter, which I am not, so I still don't know what anyone's on about.

poundoflard · 02/03/2019 22:52

I hate the Beatles
Bowie, Prince , U2 all so meh.

Never seen Titanic.
Didnt get the whole Patrick Swayzee thing.

Dont have Netflickz.

Own nothing i (apple) be it pod, pad or phone

Harry Potter , Lord of anything, Game of anything, never seen, read or been inclined to even bother with.

And I am happy :)

ReanimatedSGB · 02/03/2019 22:53

Most films and most television are of no interest to me. I like books, and rowing with people in the internet.
I also hate anything in the way of 'pampering'. I can bath myself without assistance, thanks, and I don't want to be pawed about.

poundoflard · 02/03/2019 22:53

Oh and always decline a party.

Lepetitpiggy · 02/03/2019 22:54

JK Rowling got lucky with a poorly written load of half plagiarized wank. God, I feel better now

Boobahs · 02/03/2019 22:54

Oh and never watched Love Island, First Dates, Celebs Go Dating, none of that tosh.

Never read or watched any of the Harry Potter/Game of Thrones stuff.

IndianaMoleWoman · 02/03/2019 22:55

The Beatles were so inane.

I have never seen Star Wars or Star Trek and do not know the difference.

Tom Hardy looks like he smells. I just don’t get it.

IndianaMoleWoman · 02/03/2019 22:56

I only a managed half of the first Harry Potter book. Yawn!

puppy23 · 02/03/2019 22:57

@ColeHawlins Yes to full fat Coke - neither have any bloody fat in!!!

Yabbers · 02/03/2019 22:57

Love Actually. Hated it. If we hadn’t been there with Mil and Bils, we would have walked out half way through.

HoppityFrog3 · 02/03/2019 22:58

YANBU. Mamma Mia 2 WAS a pile of shit.

But then so was Mamma Mia 1. Awful film, and I never understood why it was so popular.

poundoflard · 02/03/2019 23:01

and Brad Pitt, not remotely good looking to me, you can see up his nostrils a bit too much for my liking.

And I never really got the whole Friends obsession, or that Rachel was meant to be the pretty one she wasn't

Jsmith99 · 02/03/2019 23:01

Climate change is undoubtedly occurring, but is part of the natural cycles of our planet which play out over centuries and are not caused by human activity. The Romans grew grapes in the north of England, the Victorians skated on the frozen Thames. We are currently experiencing a warm spell. It will pass, as others did before it.

AmIthatbloodycold · 02/03/2019 23:01

I've never watched or read Harry Potter

I don't think Tom Hardy is anything special

Sara Cox and Zoe Ball are awful and have spoiled radio 2 for me

poundoflard · 02/03/2019 23:03

Yes bring back all the blokes on Radio 2 !

Kens just about hanging in there

shortgirlfromessex · 02/03/2019 23:06

Nando's
Will Smith
Friends
Prosecco
Hair cuts being described as 'me time'
Primark
Wording on clothing
Writing and signs as decor - eg 'Love' and 'Home'.

MitziK · 02/03/2019 23:06

Who on earth in their right mind would fancy Patrick Swayze in that? He was a creepy middleaged man who groomed a teenager from his position of responsibility. These days, he'd be on a fucking register for that sort of thing.

MitziK · 02/03/2019 23:07

@lepetitpiggy - you forgot to add 'and the other half was cynical planning for future merchandising opportunities'.

Aquamarine1029 · 02/03/2019 23:13

My mother threw her toys out of the pram when I told her I hated Mamma Mia. Honestly, she had a proper hissy fit. She was aghast I didn't love it like she does.
