Notice period

So I told the landlord that we were looking for a new property. Our tenancy agreement is up later in the year.
Sent a text around beginning of Feb to say we’d be moving out on 1st last month. Asked for references etc got the new property, let landlord know on 15th.

Landlord is saying that absolute confirmation we were moving was 15th not 1st and is charging 2 weeks rent.

What date does your tenancy expire? The day before that is the day your notice ends.

Not til June

Do they can take/keep the money then ?

You're lucky they only want two weeks. They're entitled to four months by your own statement.
