Child Genius?

That is one horrible tv programme. A zoo. Awful. Poor children.

I haven't actually watched it but my friends child was on it and loved the experience. She is a very intelligent girl and is part of MENSA.

YANBU. I do feel sorry for those kids. I've seen alot of this from the a different perspective. Kids who were always picked out as bright and it became part of their identity. By the time they get to uni its often done real harm as they're then just average and the idea of not standing out or of struggling a bit with work is horrifying to them.

I think there is a very obvious split. the children who are there because they want to do and have parents who take a normal “try your best and enjoy it” type approach.

Then there are the children who are there because their parents (or uncles) are exceptionally pushy and view it as only perfection is good enough
