Got woken by one child at midnight and now cannot get back to sleep. I spend my nights being woken by them but now they're all sleeping soundly, along with my snoring husband and I've been wide awake for 2 hours, I've finally broken my rule of not looking at my phone because I'm so BORED!!!

@JenMumma I've just about forgiven the baby, the jury's still out on "D"H!!

JenMumma · 05/03/2019 15:34

@barnconversion5 awwww you're a better person than me ! The baby would be the first to have it lol. I'm giving serious thought to either moving to the sofa tonight, it's either that or dosing myself up on night nurse. Somebody said to me to try ear plugs and my initial thought was WHY SHOULD I ?! Then I got freaked out by the thought of having something In my ears as I slept but now , I have to admit... I'm giving them new consideration. Also I was online food shopping earlier and came across "anti snoring throat spray"... no idea how it works but it's a tenner so seems abit steep to fork out for if it'll end up on the "useless products" pile in my bathroom 🙂

You could always try white noise.... with a baby it's my go to for everything!!!!

JenMumma · 05/03/2019 21:35

Hmmm yeah, sometimes put an audiobook on that I've listened to 100s of times and it does the trick 🙂 (eventually)

Getting ready for another night of insomnia, it comes and goes. I find it easier to sleep when it’s arctic conditions, I read decades ago that if your back/liver is cold it’s easier, it works for me better than anything else.

JenMumma · 05/03/2019 22:18

@wink1970 that's seriously fascinating 🤔 hmm may have to try that. I like my feet out of the blanket so that's a start 🙂. Has anyone ever gotten anything from the doctor for sleeping issues ? I'm always at the end of my tether by the time I go so end up a muddled mess :-(

Urgh I'm suffering lately.... work related stress for me :(
I spent some of first year university on zopiclone which left a disgusting metallic taste in my mouth but were quite effective. IIRC it was hard work to get them prescribed though and mainly as a last resort because I was only getting an hour or two sleep a night for weeks on end :(

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 06/03/2019 07:52

@Pinkbutton85 @dimsum321 an apology for the offensive typo would probably have been a better response than starting a string of "mong" jokes. Classy. Do the world a favour and go back to bed.

dimsum321 · 06/03/2019 08:00

BabyDarling Hmm

Nothinglefttochoose · 06/03/2019 08:15

When I’m like that I go to the spare room, close the door and drift back off to sleep.

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 06/03/2019 08:18

Hmm what? Mong jokes are OK now are they? No, didn't think so.

barnconversion5 · 06/03/2019 09:56

I too cannot sleep if I'm too warm! Particularly my feet! Sleeping when pregnant was bloody tough and now I have to suffer through the baby snoring now he's arrived Angry Good job he's cute!!!
