"She is said to find the constant clothes changes (up to five a day if the itinerary includes shooting, tea, and a formal dinner) and the omnipresence of a full household staff rather stressful,"

Now I am quite fond of Kate Middy but AIBU to have snorted very loudly at this sentence?

Oh to have such a stressful life!

William having an affair?

I very much doubt it after seeing what it did to his mother, let alone how he feels about Kate & his kids.

flumpybear · 01/03/2019 14:29

William having an affair?!?! Confused

BartonHollow · 01/03/2019 14:32

Where does it say he's having an affair?

I don't think he's ever had one

The only woman I remember him being linked to is Jecca Craig and I think that was a teenage thing.

PineapplePower · 01/03/2019 15:20

Read this Vanity Fair article from 2010: www.vanityfair.com/news/2010/12/william-and-kate-201012

He definitely doesn’t come off all that well and didn’t seem to treat her with that much respect.

Yet ... she still married him? I guess all that money and privilege can help you overcome his negative traits.

PineapplePower · 01/03/2019 15:22

Where does it say he's having an affair?

He was photographed groping some girl, I think this was even before the big breakup (one of many, actually, according to the article I linked)

icannotremember · 01/03/2019 15:32

Does anyone here ever read GOMI? I used to be on there and there was a lot of chat in one of the forums about William being known to have affairs. I take it all with a pinch of salt- there are always people online who claim to have insider information about the doings of various slebs- but it's definitely something some people believe.

I don't envy her, but I don't feel sorry for her either. She made her choice. I do feel sorry for her dc, who were born into it.

Not sure about this "amazing heathcare" the Royals have.

King George V's Doctor killed him with a morphine overdose so that his death would be in time to make the papers.

Princess Margaret spent the last few years of her life in a wheelchair because her feet had been so badly scalded by a too hot bath that she couldn't walk. Sad (Maybe she ran it herself but I get the impression she wasn't one for running her own bath even when younger.)

The Countess of Wessex suffered a placental abruption - agonising and life threatening emergency, potentially fatal to mother and/or baby if help does not come quickly. She phoned her security people in great pain and fear asking for help and THREE QUARTERS OF AN HOUR LATER (caps bloody intentional) it turned out they had not in fact bothered to call an ambulance after all. How she and Lady Louise survived I don't know.

Kate at the exclusive hospital (King George's? ) for hyperemesis when a couple of Australian dickheads phone up and pretend to be the Queen and they tell them how she is doing and whether she's been sick or not.

Quintella · 01/03/2019 16:21

The Queen Mother lived until she was over 100, Prince Philip and the Queen look to be on track to match that. That's no coincidence. That's down to a life of privilege and access to world class health care 24/7.

Quintella · 01/03/2019 16:24

King George V's Doctor killed him with a morphine overdose so that his death would be in time to make the papers.

I love that fact. It's the most English thing ever. Apparently though it was a speedball of cocaine and morphine. Quite the way to depart this mortal coil!

EdwinaMarlow · 01/03/2019 16:24

Um, my grandmother lived to be 105, her mother to 101 and her mother to 100 and they were most certainly not royal or privileged, they had tough lives. A lot of it is just good genes and not smoking, which killed the queen's father and grandfather and uncle

IncrediblySadToo · 01/03/2019 16:25

Having to dig up crap from 2010 & an incident before they separated for a bit when they were younger, to ‘prove’ he’s having an affair/‘not a decent bloke’ is laughable. FFS.

Quintella · 01/03/2019 16:25

Okay, wealth and access to health care has no bearing on a person's health.

OftenHangry · 01/03/2019 16:31

@Quintella my grandgrand parents died at 98 and 96... Other pair at 94 and 98. Working class.Central Europe. Survived both wws. I doubt there was a proper healthcare at that times. Some people can just have it in them.

Quintella · 01/03/2019 16:31

They do. But in general wealthy people tend to live longer lives.

BejamNostalgia · 01/03/2019 16:34

She was shitfaced pissed which is why she got in a boiling bath. Unfortunately even the best medical care can’t reverse heavy drinking and smoking 80 fags a day,

OftenHangry · 01/03/2019 16:34

I think Okinawa would disagree with you. So would Sardinia

user1457017537 · 01/03/2019 16:36

However were your relatives at 100 leading productive lives and driving themselves or horse riding. Or were they being cared for by family or in a care home. Quality of life is different for the rich and privileged. Of course you are going to be healthier and live longer if you have no stress or worry and live a life of immense privilege.

BejamNostalgia · 01/03/2019 16:37

Anyway, isn’t this about the point in a Meghan Markle thread where her superfan says ‘you’re all racists anyway’ and it gets deleted?

Quintella · 01/03/2019 16:38

I think Okinawa would disagree with you. So would Sardinia

Since our dear Queen is not a resident of either Okinawa or Sardinia that is rather a moot point. More relevant would be to look at life expectancy of people in somewhere like Glasgow.

prettypossums · 01/03/2019 16:41

Prince William doesn’t strike me as likely to cheat. Harry, on the other hand...

EdwinaMarlow · 01/03/2019 16:41

Are any of the royal family horse-riding at 100? Centenarians make up the fastest growing population group in the UK. Of course you are more likely to live longer if you are rich and have an easy life but it's not an exclusive royal privilege. To say KM is luckier than lucky simply because she MAY live to be 100, when many, many rich people have just as easy lives as her (ie Pippa) without any of the obligations, is quite strange.

Quintella · 01/03/2019 16:44

This was said?

Vanityfairarticle · 01/03/2019 16:50

INTERESTING! I have also heard about his OW - and from a reliable source - it very, very nearly got out into the press in summer 2018 but they managed to stop it somehow. I really don’t know how either. Apparently Kate found out way before and so knows but doesn’t want it public. Unsurprisingly. They won’t divorce over it apparently and will just get on with it.

PineapplePower · 01/03/2019 16:51

Vanity Fair is not crap and the reporting is solid.

user1457017537 · 01/03/2019 17:00

Well I have said on other threads I think she looks stressed and unhappy.
