Leaving Work

I am about to leave work soon. There are 6 other people in the office leaving at the same time. Usually my job is to put round a collection sheet for members of staff leaving (which I will do for the 6 people). I don't work in a team (there is just my boss and me) and no collection sheet will be put round for me or presentation arranged. I don't know why but I feel quite sad and annoyed that I will just simply walk away from the job having invested quite a lot of myself in it.

How do you know there won't be a collection for you?

Either that or your boss will get you something surely!?

I don't know why people expect gifts when they leave, and to expect people to donate to all of your collections around the same time is unreasonable IMO.

You're choosing to leave the job so why are you automatically entitled to a gift from the people you're probably not going to keep in touch with?
