NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOURS

This probably doesn't belong here but it's the busiest topic! I've always been a friendly neighbour and I've always liked mine however the neighbours to the left are starting to irritate me!

What I'm asking is do you get on with your neighbours?

I don't really like my neighbours. I have practised the art of silence. I say very little. I see and hear a lot.

dontcallmesarah · 27/02/2019 12:22

I try and keep myself to myself say hi if I pass them when putting the rubbish in the bins etc are they noisy neighbours?

Love them and have become great friends.

EnglishRose13 · 27/02/2019 12:22

Love both sides. Helpful when I need them (and vice versa), keep themselves to themselves when not.

In fact, the whole street are nice and good neighbours. We have a street-wide WhatsApp group and we even had a bbq in the summer and plan to do so again this year.

I think it helps that we are all detached.

Mine are really lovely, thankfully.

What are they doing to bug you OP?

Grumblepants · 27/02/2019 12:24

I like all of mine. We even invited quite a few to our wedding.

Hmm, sounds like you could be noisier than you think OP.

What makes you say she thinks she’s better than everyone?

Get on really well with both sides. The adjoining neighbours are people we really get on with in terms of values etc. They are moving soon to retire somewhere else, and we are very sad about it. The other side are lovely, but quite different from us. But we get along just fine. One of my friends has recently moved in about 5 houses down, which is quite exciting. Smile

I've had terrible, terrible neighbours in the past and it's hell. So I'm super grateful.

Theunreasonableone · 27/02/2019 12:46

I don't like either of them. One side smokes weed so the front and back garden stink. I've also seen her boys urinating on the front garden and they throw things out of the bedroom window on to my car. The other side are CFs but are far enough away that I don't have to really see or hear them.

Quite like the opposite neighbours though.

EdWinchester · 27/02/2019 12:46

Ours are fantastic.

userxx · 27/02/2019 12:55

Oh yes, I'm very friendly with my next door neighbour :)

posaylaroche · 27/02/2019 13:05

My neighbours are okish, they have a hot tub which has caused some issues and a dog which barks quite a bit but I am a live and let live sort. My neighbours on the other side are ok too they have teenagers who can be noisy at times, smoke weed etc, litter a bit but not too terrible. I don't think we really fit in around here and I'm pretty sure the neighbours thing we are weird but hey ho what can you do! We just keep ourselves to ourselves but try to be decent neighbours.
