posting here shamelessly for traffic! ( no pun intended)

was with Green flag but its gone up a lot - some of the ones on the comparison website i have never heard of before, i assumed that RAC and the AA and Green flag were the only people that did breakdown cover! I clearly know nothing.
what do you do for cover, would i be taking a chance on leaving and going elsewhere? I dont travel that far in my car or use it for work, but it is getting old and i do worry about breaking down at night or something. Is it even worth buying?
It has shot up in price over the years!
Do other people bother with this?

Current car is a 12 tear old Toyota - I've never had breakdown cover.

I had RAC, my car (when I finally got rid of it) was 16 years old and I never once needed it!

I rang Green Flag this morning. My renewal for Recovery Plus is £115.

Last years price was £85.

I did an online quote this morning and it is £82.

Every year I go with G.Flag but every year I have to take out a new cheaper policy by doing to leg work myself.

Thanks again everyone. All very informative.
I'll go back on the price comparison website I think.
