My son has home work to make a story in a jar for world book day. He has to choose a story and recreate it inside a jar. I've spent ages googling but coming up empty. He has chosen James and the giant peach. I'm really not very arty but we have printed the new York skyline for the back drop, paper mache'd peach paper onto a ball pool ball and made leaves from foam. We made a spider and caterpillar out of pom poms and have a lego figure for James. But it just feels a bit like it's lacking. I attempted to create the other bugs but it proved quite difficult haha ill attach pictures once the peach is dry enough to assemble it but can anyone think of anything else we can add. This is for some big competition so feel we should make a bit more effort haha

Can you dangle some tiny seagulls from the lid? Maybe some fake grass in the bottom?
