Such a range of prices and offers it's a minefield! We would love to go more often but we just can't afford to pay the prices. Our local one isn't full when it's half price. Why don't they drop the prices and encourage more people to play?
A family of four would pay £26 for two games when it's half price - that is still expensive for me!
DD went with a friend on Saturday morning and it was only £1 per game between 9am and 10am (£2 for adults).

I agree. It's ridiculous given it only entertains for about 20 minutes.

Gth1234 · 24/02/2019 16:31

Loads of things are too expensive, to be honest.

Danni91 · 24/02/2019 16:31

Yeah we just paid £45 on Friday for 2 games that is 2 adults 1 child. £45! And then a fiver in the arcades.
Didn't bother with drinks...can get a weeks shop on that and also it was all over and done within one hour.

It is very expensive vs the time you actually spend there playing.

8 year old loves it though we go every 3/4 months when he goes up a reading group at school.

PooleySpooley · 24/02/2019 16:33

Agree it’s ridiculously expensive unfortunately as it such a lovely thing to do as a family Sad

CurlyMango · 24/02/2019 16:35

We thought about going this week, was shocked at the cost.

IsoscelesSandwich · 24/02/2019 16:36

...ten pin bowling?

Fatted · 24/02/2019 16:37

Can't remember how much it was last time we went, but we usually go on a Tuesday when our local one is half price. The place is always empty though!

They should follow the example of the vue cinema. It's £4.99 in our local one for every standard ticket. It's gone from being empty all the time to packed every day.

FuckItFriday · 24/02/2019 16:37

It can be. It's one of these things, like the cinema, that if it were cheaper we'd go more!

TrendyNorthLondonTeen · 24/02/2019 16:38

Is Tempin Bowling something that people who work for agencies play?

Arowana · 24/02/2019 16:39

I agree it's pricey, but our local place is always busy so I guess people are willing to pay!

Tailfeather · 24/02/2019 16:42

Just think of all of the overheads - rental or purchase of the massive area, heating, business rates, cleaning, paying staff etc. It's a business and they have to cover their costs.

pelirocco123 · 24/02/2019 16:45

£90 here for 2 games for 6 people on a sat evening

Meangirls36 · 24/02/2019 16:47

Bowling on the kinect or wii is fun and cheap

thinkfast · 24/02/2019 16:48

Yes it is expensive - which is why it is a treat

Cwtches123 · 24/02/2019 16:50

Our local cinema used to be empty but since they have reduced the prices to a flat rate of £4 for all seats it is packed and you have to book!

Yeh and crazy/adventure golf, we were £42 for a family of 4 to play 18holes outdoors. It was £10 more for indoors. We were there less that 1hour.

Trampolining likewise £30 for 2 children for 1 hour. We just can't afford it. Then I see on Facebook families who are out doing thing like this every weekend. How do they do it!?

PlainSpeakingStraightTalking · 24/02/2019 17:14

Cheers for the heads up - I just googled our local bowling alley - and Tuesday does sessions for half price, so that's £3.40 a head - got a few mates up after work Grin
