HELP! Posting here for traffic.

My car won't start.

When I turn the key to the first position the radio and windscreen wipers etc come on. When I turn it to the second position - that normally starts the car properly - nothing happens.

I've apparently got the world's worst breakdown company who can only tow me to a local garage and aren't sure when they can do this!

Any ideas what could be wrong with my car?

Low battery most likely.

Any other details you can give? Are there any clicks as you turn the key to the start position?

I hope it's the battery! It's parked in an awkward position and we can't attempt a jump start.

There is a slight click, I think. It did try to start on one attempt but is just dead.

I've looked through the manual but there's no diagnostics in there.
