Is the bush back?

So I read an article on Tatler magazine a year or so ago about the bush being back and having frequented the gym recently I am amazed about the lack of pruning. Is no waxing/shaving a thing now?

I’ve always been a trim it short/wax bird but it seems I’m in the minority where I live. Is this the norm or is it a winter hibernation warmth thing?

To be fair to the OP if people call her a troll she would want to defend herself.

mystar · 23/02/2019 00:41

I wasn’t slagging anyone off. In my circle people keep things trim. I never once slagged anyone off. I was just surprised at other folks choices.

And all I was saying was I found it odd people proudly dried their pupes.

  1. It’s not a discussed topic.

It really is hence all the eye-rolly comments.

  1. I go away on holiday 4/6 times a year to a variety of places and I have never seen an English woman with pubes on show.

How in the name of St Hairy-Chuff Almighty do you determine the nationality of women and their nethers without being over involved?

CalishataFolkart · 23/02/2019 00:45

Preview not working - “without”

Somethingsmellsnice · 23/02/2019 00:45

Mine is naturally neat and does not need pruning to wear a swimsuit without showing. I do wax under my arms. Will we be moving onto underarm discussions too?

happymummy12345 · 23/02/2019 00:48

I think it's up to each person. I like to be completely smooth, can't stand hair at all.

Tillygetsit · 23/02/2019 00:49

This is a very bizarre thread! I don't have enough to worry about. I also have hairless legs. Does that make me a freak?!

@calishataFolkart
Me and my mates always go for nails, feet wax as mates so yes it’s a topic.
If my mate had her pubes hanging out then yes I would comment and no, I don’t think I would be a bad friend for doing so

@kennehora I don’t perv! It’s just sometimes pronounced!

mystar · 23/02/2019 00:58

Somethingsmellsnice yes, I would find hairy armpits offensive

On men as well as women?

LittlePaintBox · 23/02/2019 01:01

If I'm sexually active, or going for hospital appointments that involve 'down there', I'm hairless. Otherwise Its just a trim and tidy.

It's never occurred to me to be hairless either for sex or gynaecology purposes. In fact, I had to insist on not being shaved during childbirth when this was routine, as I knew that it would be agony growing back and I ran the risk of developing dermatitis.

Each to their own, I really don't care what anyone else does with their lady garden!

mystar · 23/02/2019 01:02

I’ve only ever asked what is normal. I’ve never been judgmental. Just judged 😊

I'm just imagining the OP approaching random holiday makers with visible pubic hair and engaging them in conversation to ascertain their non English nationality status. Grin

mystar · 23/02/2019 01:06

Yes! I often do this 🙄

StarlightLady · 23/02/2019 01:06

It sounds a fair question to me.

Personally, I don’t think it’s back, but I agree with others, it’s a personal choice.

Me? 40s, feminist, born again single, sexually active and the only hair on my body is on my head. I don’t have hairy armpits and I don’t want a bush between my legs. It is not porn inspired (there are plenty of pubes in porn too), it is not a fashion dictat and it is certainly not for any man.

It increases sensitivity, is more comfy for me in warm weather (possibly why there is a increase in the UK in February) and my own preference.

Close (women) friends range from smooth to trimmed but I don’t know anyone “wild” who I am close enough to, to discuss this with.

Pubic hair removal is nothing new, it happened in ancient Greece ancient Rome. It’s not that all drawings/pictures from that time are inaccurate.

mystar · 23/02/2019 01:07

I usually do this in the passport control queue

StairlightLady that was the response I wanted! Thank you 😊

HotpotLawyer · 23/02/2019 01:17

Never removed my pubic hair in tne first place.

Pieceofpurplesky · 23/02/2019 01:17

The gym I go to have a few pube paraders. One leg up on the bench and one leg down. You can't miss the display despite not wanting to.

mystar · 23/02/2019 01:19

Ilovesooty

Yes: so this bullshit every day 😊

Surfingtheweb · 23/02/2019 01:31

I've never had a bush & will never have a bush 😂 the only stories I've heard of people drying their pubes in the gym is of old men in the changing rooms. Haha I'm so amused that women are doing it too.
