AIBU to ask for your spooky children stories

So, my 3 year old DS told his GPs who he was with today that his Mummy and Daddy died in a car crash but he "made magic" and brought us back. So here we are.

Not sure whether to be impressed or scared. Has anyone else had anything similar

No - not just you. My DS used to say with frightening clarity that he remembered the fire engine, police and ambulance at our old house and being so sad that we all died. He never wavered from the story either until he just stopped mentioning it at about 9 or 10. Spooked the fuck out of us!

Our little DD4 (5) had an obsession with one corner of our bedroom (in our old house) from birth. She would stare up there while being walked round the bedroom on our shoulder. Later she would point and smile up there. Later still she would hold her arms up, or offer a toy.

Once she could speak she would point and say 'man there'. 'Man up there' (and point in a moving arc across the ceiling).

Before we moved she asked who the man in the blue shirt in the wall is. She did a face like an angry grin to show how he looked ...

So glad we're not there any more Grin

When my son was about 2 he used to talk about and point to balls of light that were flying round the room at night. Happened every night for a few months.

Had this conversation with ds2 about two years ago. He would have been 4ish.
I was so freaked out I wrote it all out in notes.
Ds - When I die will I go back into your tummy and be pushed out again?
Me - Nobody knows what happens when you die honey
Ds- I was in your tummy the last time
Me - When you were a baby?
Ds - Yeah but not this time. The time I had a sister

I have 2 ds' no dd's

It's about a young Glaswegian boy who has detailed memories of a previous life on the island of Barra (which none of his family have ever visited) - he travels with his mum, younger brother and an expert to Barra to see if any of his memories have a basis in reality.

My DD when she was 3 1/2 ,she was a very early talker told my DF that my DM who had recently passed suddenly and unexpected that she was happy with the lady and not to worry about her .What was the most spooky was she described an object even down to the colour that my DM own DM used to help her get around .DD had never met her and we had certainly never never talked about her in front DD so she couldn't have know this .Did really comfort my dad at the time and my DD never mentioned it again .

Once in the night my son was sleeping in our bed. I woke to hear him talking to someone and I asked who are you talking to??? He looked up and said "I am talking to the witch up there" and pointed up to the air. I freaked out because a friend recently died, not saying she was a witch...she was more of an angel. But my son was 4 at the time and used the word witch perhaps to describe what he saw. It turned out he had a high fever so maybe he was just hallucinating...but I freaked out!

I asked him about it and he said he missed us so brought us back together again this time. Then he hugged me.

Not going to ask again! 🤷🏼‍♀️

My daughter used to say "when I was a boy..." and talk about her other family.
When she was really tiny we were watching a film and there was a ww2 bomb and she said Boom! This was the firsts time she had seen anything like that and couldn't really talk much then anyway.
Gradually she started to talk more about "before" told me her name and how she died falling from a small plane into the sea.
We visited the Eden Camp in Yorkshire (fab day out btw!) and she was talking about the planes and equipment that she'd never seen before, as though she knew what they all were.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, I don't know) she doesn't remember anything about it now.

Yeah, found a couple of people who died in ww2 with very similar names, but couldn't find any that might've been shot down at sea.

DS at 2.5 said as I was strapping him into his car seat "I was in your tummy when you were 16 but I was too small so I had to go back again" (I lost a pregnancy)

And "do you remember when you were really old and I used to look after you?"

He stopped talking about it by three and a half

Not quite true actually.
My cousins Labour was really traumatic and scary but all worked out ok in the end. The child was at her mum's house, she was just starting to talk, and asked about a photo of cousin's late dad.
Oh, she said, I saw him when I was born.

My son's only 2 months old but he does like to stare at the ceiling between the wardrobe and the light fitting. And smile. Every time he smiles. Spooks me a little! (And it takes me loads of effort to get him to smile for me!)

When my DD was around 2 she asked my dad if he remembered when she was big and he was little and she used to push him in his pram to Stanley Park ( the park near his childhood home which we live hundreds of miles from) and had to push him all the way to the summit ( the name of his childhood home)

She also complained about a dark lady in her room who kept scaring her DD is now 17 and thinks anything woo is nonsense

My father died when my d was around 3 . Not long after she suddenly got an imaginary friend who was a man. She'd often talk about him and say he is staying around to make sure we are ok. She had him for about a year or so until she said he is able to go now.

If you google Jim B. Tucker, he's written books about this and is always looking for more stories... I think he has researchers who'll see if they can verify any details of past lives 😱

2yo DD often tells us that she is 'talking to the people in the earth' we live by a graveyard and it does spook me a bit.

Dd sometimes used to be very quiet and then say "who are you?" to thin air.
If I asked her about it she seemed to be confused and then she stopped doing it. She was only 2.
