AIBU to browse gofund me but never donate.

I've been on gofund me a few times and even though im not rich I do have the means to donate a fiver here, a tenner there but I just dont. Even when im heavily moved by someone's story. Am l a heartless cow? Have you ever donated to a complete stranger on GFM?

Not on GFM, but I try to donate to a charity every month or so, even if it is a small amount. One pound here, 5 there, and this does help a lot of people (and animals) out there. I feel bad that can't help everyone and have to make a choice who to give money to :(

Seems a bit like you use it for entertainment. Like those horrible ‘really life story’ magazines

If you can't donate, why? I cant afford to donate at the moment but signed up to a petitions & donations site (care2petitions) & get animal welfare & MH petitions sent direct to my inbox. (Narrowed it down to those 2, everything you can think of is on there). Once earning, I'll donate as well, for those + cancer (for my Dads memory).

I've donated once to a distant friend. I'll read the stories if they pop up on social media but won't go and search for them!

I think if l was to donate, it would be towards people living with MH illnesses as I've had MH issues in the past. I guess I can't really connect with people/circumstances that l dont really know much about.

Aren't they a high percentage of scam artists and bullshitters?

I don't donate either. Too many scams and liars.

Why do you go onto GoFundMe? It seems odd to hang out on the site just to browse :/

I hate begging , I'm yet to see a reason why I would give my money to any of these causes .

I've had a browse on occasions. I wouldn't donate on there though becuas of the scammer aspect, I'd rather just give directly to a charity
