To feel intimidated by this man

Just got a shopping delivery. The driver arrived late and he was banging on everything he could on his way from the van to the house, without even saying Hello he literally threw the crates on my doorstep. I asked him to bring them inside, he pushed them violently on the side, huffed and then brought them in, he was suddenly walking very slowly and looking around my living room, I unloaded the shopping, he then threw the crates again outside and left without even a bye-bye. I live in a two bed terraced, we have nothing of value (not even a TV), I am not British and I spend most of the days home alone with the baby. I understand that is a tough job and it's late, but his behaviour really shook me. Should I complain?

Most definitely put in a complaint. He's getting paid to do a job and to provide a customer service and he absolutely should not be making you feel intimidated. Horrible for you OP x

Yes you should complain, hes being paid to do his job and he should be doing it properly.

Bobbycat121 · 20/02/2019 18:42

Yes complain, I had similar, lived in a 3rd floor flat with no lift. Did an online shop as I had 3 small children and a double buggy so shopping was impossible.
One driver slammed my bags down, I said hello and he snapped “I think I will catch my breath first!” Put me off ordering so I wish I had complained.

Definitely complain and say that you don't want him to deliver anything again.

Dreamzcancometrue · 20/02/2019 18:50

Yeah, def complain. It would be unfortunate if he delivered to you again. Who knows maybe his employers having a 'word' about his behaviour will give him the kick up the back side he needs to up his customer service game.

Thank you for the replies, for a moment I thought I was being paranoid Confused, but I guess I will be ringing customer service tomorrow!

Definitely ring, if he hates his job this much, he needs to change it, it's unacceptable to behave like this.
