..over a man is all about?
What does this promote to young women and girls (and males for that matter).

Does anyone wonder at how toxic and backward it is?

Any other info?

nancy75 · 18/02/2019 18:05

I’m intrigued by this one Grin

RedForShort · 18/02/2019 18:05

Duels are traditional ways of settle a dispute. Especially at dawn. Though quite old fashioned to be honest.

DaphneFanshaw · 18/02/2019 19:11

Yes, I haven’t actually ever had a duel, although it is on my bucket list.
Perhaps we could organise a MN flash duel......at dawn obviously.

MulberryPeony · 18/02/2019 19:18

I sword fight weekly. It’s great fun and exercise actually.

WickedWytch · 18/02/2019 19:20

Is this a scene from a Disney movie?

Auslander · 18/02/2019 19:20

What?

NameChangeNugget · 18/02/2019 19:20

It happens all the time... Hmm

Far more noble than a pick me dance

WeirdAndPissedOff · 18/02/2019 19:22

I'm assuming this is referring to a movie? If so, I don't necessarily disagree, but we've seen the same trope in reverse a thousand times before.

hazeydays14 · 18/02/2019 19:23

I’m guessing this is about the Batchelor advert.. can’t say I’ve ever watched it or the Batchelorette

youbethemummylion · 18/02/2019 19:23

I used to fence competitively, never competed for a man though usually just a crappy trophy and a gift card.

Sparklesocks · 18/02/2019 19:23

I think we need more context to give a proper opinion? Is this from a film, or is online dating in your town really competitive?

Auldspinster · 18/02/2019 19:24

I used to fence too, I split my breeches doing a deep lungeBlush.

Elfinablender · 18/02/2019 19:25

No, it's the Bachelor ad, isn't it?

SinisterBumFacedCat · 18/02/2019 19:27

It’s the bachelor trailer. I was more baffled by the bachelor himself, looks like an early 90’s Chippendale you’d avoid in a club.

OftenHangry · 18/02/2019 19:33

Omg are they bringing sword fighting back?!Shock

Can't wait to challenge a cashier in ASDA to trial by combat for a payment! #savingmoneytips #sharpenyourswords

Smotheroffive · 19/02/2019 18:09

OP posts:
Smotheroffive · 19/02/2019 18:48

It's not about fighting with the cashier Grin but women fighting over men!
