Is this a scam? How?

I recently advertised a fairly high value item for sale on Gumtree, cash and collection only.

I got a quick response from a buyer offering full price. The buyer is unable to collect and wants a courier to collect, which is fine. I asked for back transfer or cash on collection, but the buyer has responded that they only have access to pay via PayPal.

Am I paranoid or is this strange?

@Chipbutty67 thought this seemed familiar! Just hit 'report' on your own first post and in the box asking why you're reporting, explain that you've accidentally done two threads!

On your other thread you saw for yourself that it was a scam as someone else posted the exact same buyer response (I'm housebound/disabled blah blah] and you commented on it!
