came into house and sat on my DM cat elderly got cancer and picked her up and put her on floor 🤬🤬 she can barely walk

I made a very stern comment and said how dare she! DM was in tears!
DM mild dementia and cat her life!
Thought she nearly killed the cat!

AIBU to think this was bloody rude and presumptuous 😯

Did she just not see the cat? Easy mistake to make really, though rather unfortunate.

Did the support worker know the cat was there ? Had you been clear the importance of the cat to your DM to the assessors before she started ?

If it was genuinely an accident and she apologised and ensured the cat was ok then I think you are overreacting a bit but if she was rude or uncaring then contact her office

Err just to be clear even if she didn't know the cat was important wouldn't be ok for her to sit on it obviously

What a strange thought.
Sitting on a cat isn't bad manners, it's a mistake.

No she actually sat on edge and said they move eventually so knew cat was there 😔
