I've just finished cleaning out two kitchen cupboards that had mouse poo in them. It was absolutely disgusting.

I've just poured myself a drink and sat down to watch Newsnight but feel like I need some greater validation and like I'd potentially like maybe marching bands and a diamond when DP comes home.

Well done OP! I cleaned out a container in our garage the other day that had mouse poo in it and I'm afraid I went a bit mad with the bleach . Diamonds and Mariachi bands for you!

Well done to you, MrsIron. I too went MAD with the bleach, having followed the mouse poo removal method recommended by the US Centre (Center?) for Disease Control.

I found a petrified little field mouse cleaning my house out to sell and move away-yeah my DH got the job of disposing the poor thing

MsCandylamb, why do you think we have rats?? (Not envy). A pest control guy has been and says it's mice.

Anyway, Newsnight and drink were interrupted by poorly DD and I've spent all the time since then cleaning up vomit so I'm now in a whole different realm of prizes and awards.

Oh well done @Rainatnight. I've had to deal with mice on a few occasions and each time I've called someone else to do it as I just can't deal with them (or their poo).

I like the sound of marching bands and a diamond. But make it a demi-parure at least!

Ooh, I had to google demi-parure and now I am obsessed.

I did wonder if I could pay anyone to do it but it's not something the pest control people did and it didn't seem fair to ask the cleaner.

I'd rather deal with mouse poo than puking child

We have what looks like mouse poo down the side of the fridge freezer in its alcove. Due to the wafts of sickening odour, we suspect that there's a deceased rodent at the back or under said fridge freezer, a cat victim that had escaped her clutches only to die, unlamented, beneath our white goods.

I can shift the poo no problem, but I am not looking forward to dealing with any mouse remains. Dead things are the worst

Oh God, poor you. Is there anyone in your life who could don the rubber gloves and do it for you? And do read the advice about getting rid of the poo - apparently airborne mouse poo particles can give humans something nasty called haptavirus.
