I had a bad cold with headache, fever, sore throat, aching body and teeth (!) , runny nose and coughing up green stuff. I had this 2 weeks ago and the first few days I was very rough. I had it over my day off and the weekend so didn't miss work but even by the 4tb day at work I did feel very unwell. I soldiered on as it's " just a cold ".

2 weeks later after feeling a bit better last weekend I now have a headache, blocked sinuses, still coughing up green, and feeling of pressure all around my head. Been on decongestants/ paracetamol etc.

I manage to go to work but on my day off I sleep and once kids sorted I go to bed at 9pm. Can they treat sinusitis or will it just go away if it's that, any good ideas to relieve the symptoms or get better fast?! I don't like to bother my GP so looking forward to your opinions!

There is a perception that green snot is worse than other. In fact, it is a sign that your body is dealing with the problem. Not sure what a GP could do. Some viruses just have to work their way through. By going to work you probably have infected half your colleagues so soldiering on isn't always a good thing

NeilMed Sinus Rinse bottle, you can buy at pharmacy. The bottle is much easier to use than a nettipot. It's a strange sensation but the relief you'll feel should be worth it. (Follow instructions by letting boiled water cool to body temp/ tepid, not cold.)

Sounds like you have congestion in your sinuses. I would go to the pharmacy to see if they can help.

R U taking painkillers, too? A full day off work might what your body needs.

I went to the GP last year with inflamed sinuses, pressure in my face etc and they basically said they won't give antibiotics for sinus infections until I'd had the symptoms for more than 2 weeks.
Having said that if you feel you need to see a GP - go. You aren't wasting their time if you are genuinely unwell. Hope you feel better soon

If its green and painful you could have an infection, wouldn't hurt to see the doctor.

I just googled the Sinus rinse thing and got really excited but it said don't use if ears are blocked snd they are. I can't really hear the tv on a normal volume at the min or judge how loud I'm talking, not sure if that's a leftover from the cold or the sinus symptoms!
