To be ill ALL THE TIME.

Is there anyone else like me that just seems to be ill constantly?

If I've not got a cold, I've got a sore throat, if I don't feel sick, I've got an ear infection.

At the moment I've got a kidney infection, I keep getting recurring ear infections. I'm now also starting with a cold because DP picked one up and brought it home.

I feel like I spend most of my life with some sort of bug or illness. It's embarrassing!

I don't take time off work because it's so regular but colleagues often comment how 'you can't be ill again!' in surprise when I come in with another cold/cough.

Is there anyone else just prone to catch everything?!

I used to catch most things going round until I started on high dose vitamin D supplements. A blood test revealed I was deficient.

OP, go see the doc and have your bloods done to see if you're deficient in anything. We should all be supplementing in vit D anyway in the UK. I'm on 4,000 IU a day and my vit D levels are in normal range now (according to my GP we can take up to 5,000 IU a day and that's perfectly safe - our bodies will get rid of anything we don't need). I also take high dose vit C daily and high dose B vits. Honestly can't remember the last time I caught so much as a cold. Well over a year ago!

I rarely got ill until I had DC. Right now I've been ill for over a month: cough and cold. If I'm not sneezing, I'm coughing. If I'm not coughing, I'm blowing my nose … DC went back to school after Christmas and within 3 days I could see DC1 becoming ill. It's spread through the whole family. I take supplements and eat healthily, but nothing seems to be able to stop me catching these bloody awful infections.

Check your vitamin D levels. I was sick all the time until I had a high dosis from the doctor and I've been great since.
