He's like those pylons from the 80s. Led to a lifelong fear of pylons.

Channel 4 seem to have form for this. This used to scare the crap out of me back in the day

As cute as he may be I still think Channel 4 should have stuck longer with their previous idents, I LOVED those: the ones where they were random scenes and the camera would move around and in the end for a second or two it would form into the number 4.
