Why has my stomach flopped to my knees when I sit down?

I've put a bit of weight on lately but still as long as I have a wee before stepping on scales a normal weight. Had a quite frankly ridiculous idea yesterday of seeing what I look like in front of a full length mirror when I sit down. Standing up I have a little tummy, it's cute, I can live with it. But sitting down my whole upper body seems to melt into my arse/ form a protective layer over my fanny. I'm not talking about rolls here, I'm talking about my entire stomach migrating 10 inches.
What is this? I'm nearly 40 late 30's, is this what happens? Boobs still perky, do I need to move bra to tummy area instead?

you needto lose weight and do more exercise.
unfortunately sagging gets easier with age.

I have the same but am overweight. My first dc was a (drugged up) natural birth and i had a little overhang after that, as o carried very big. Second was a section and i put on weight after her and have a bigger over hang now
