to think this is worst driving I've seen (with diagram)

This (see diagram in next message, can't put it in this one?)
Quiet country road, NSL but very twisty and turny in a rural area near Bristol.

I'm driving along at about 30mph behind a small lorry towing a trailer with small tractor on, then a car in front of him and a large, wide tractor in front of him. BMW comes up behind me and starts flashing his lights and driving too close. I slow down. We get to a roundabout and the BMW driver pulls out to the right, put his/her foot down and overtakes the queue on the right and then pulls in in front of the tractor, cue mass braking to avoid a pile up.

2 miles down the road I get to the red traffic lights with a queue of about 15 cars. Guess who is in front of me Grin

Probably the most dangerous driving I've seen.

I can't add the diagram :-( Not sure why - could be because I re-registered after the data breach?

@MNHQ let me add a diagram please!

BrizzleMint · 11/02/2019 17:34

I've PMed MNHQ to see if they can add it for me :-(

I need to see this diagram! 😅

Atalune · 11/02/2019 17:38

God the BMW driver is an ass.

I drive a black BMW it’s a bit flash looking and I drive extra courteously as I am aware that I am driving a wanky car. Thanks DH! Grin

Kaykay06 · 11/02/2019 17:39

Sounds an idiot
Don’t think we need a diagram bmw overtakes dangerously
It is horrible as you feel they put you at risk and nothing you can do about it

Bluelady · 11/02/2019 17:44

It does sound incredibly dangerous. I'm irrationally pleased It didn't get him far!

BrizzleMint · 11/02/2019 17:47

I was delighted when I pulled up behind him at the traffic lights Grin

I think this beats yours, OP

I'm driving through small village behind large lorry. Car comes up behind very fast (it's a 30mph limit). There's a mini roundabout just in front, lorry turns right, I indicate right, and guy behind drives round the R of the roundabout (ie the wrong way round the roundabout) to get past me. He's now stuck behind the lorry. Attempts to overtake on a blind bend and almost comes to grief. Then we get to the traffic lights which are red, lorry is in straight/turn right lane, car starts to pull out into a further lane to get past - and of course there isn't one, he's now in the other carriageway - at this point he's a sitting duck for traffic coming out of the R turn and accelerating down our road. As the first car comes straight at him he realises his stupidity and pulls back in in front of me (I was hanging back because I could see what was coming).

He finally gets past the lorry as we come out of the junction - I was so pleased to be rid of him.

You enticed me in with th epromise of a diagram and then...no diagram Sad

But no OP, YANBU (apart from not having a diagram obv) he sounds like a dangerous bellend

Spudlet · 11/02/2019 17:50

Eeep. Scary.

Just waiting for the last of our family members who was in a head-on (caused by the other driver) to be discharged from hospital so this is on my mind at the moment. They are a mess... but they are alive. Sadly, not everyone who was involved is. Sad

Terrifying how many drivers seem to think they'll live forever. It takes a second to cause utter devastation. The other driver paid with their life... they have left waves of destruction and pain behind them, to their own family and friends as well as ours.

BrizzleMint · 11/02/2019 17:52

MNHQ say no diagram until my new registration after the data breach has been active for 48 hours so tomorrow night :-(

Spoil sports!

BrizzleMint you must have to prove you're trustworthy enough to handle the responsibility of diagrams Grin

Spudlet · 11/02/2019 17:59

Sorry, didn't mean to spoil a lighthearted thread! (I too would have sniggered at ending up behind them Grin). It's just all a bit on my mind atm.

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree · 11/02/2019 18:07

I have been watching those UK bad drivers videos on YouTube (I don't know why?) and the amount of people who get roundabouts wrong or don't look before pulling out is just terrifying.

Spudlet sorry to read about your family members' accident. I hope they're not too badly injured. I'd like to say the other driver got his comeuppance but his family are also paying the price for his stupidity.

BrizzleMint · 11/02/2019 18:13

Spudlet no apology needed, it's awful that idiotic drivers cause such distress for others.

Excellent diagrammatic work. Grin

What a massive bellend, also.

FadedRed · 12/02/2019 19:41

There are some really dangerous arses on the roads. Pity there wasn’t a police car around when you needed one.
I once had the greatest satisfaction of seeing an arsey driver undertaking me (we were in the correct lane for the upcoming junction) and cutting me up just before the traffic lights. 200 years later I passed him explaining himself to the Police officer, who just happened to have been in the unmarked police car behind me, and who put his blues and two’s on and followed him after his illegal manoeuvre.

FadedRed · 12/02/2019 19:42

*yards not years FFS

GruciusMalfoy · 12/02/2019 19:45

Absolute wanker!

It by far beats my being overtaken at the traffic calming in a little village. Stopped to let the oncoming traffic through as it was their right of way, some idiot behind me wasn't keen on waiting so came round behind me, at speed through the chicane making the oncoming car stop.

ambereeree · 12/02/2019 19:55

Did anyone else just click on the thread to check it wasn't abiut them? Grin
