Recently, I've been noticing how difficult it is to have any sort of conversation with this colleague/friend of mine due to how closed off she is to answering questions!

For instance, we were talking about what we'd like to do in the future over lunch (nothing work related), and she said, "maybe we should start a business". Ok. When the conversation moved onto the "hows" and the nitty-gritty details, she shut the whole thing down with, "all I'm going to say is that I know how this works. I won't do something unless I'm 100% sure of it."

Another example. We were tossing about ideas for a work event. Someone else suggested something, she said "that's dumb" (it wasn't even a bad idea). When prompted for her reasoning, she said, "the only word I can think of is that it's dumb. That's all I'll say."

Confused

AIBU to be annoyed by this?

She sounds like a nightmare. I’d take a step back from her

Not at all, she sounds like a tosser who thinks she is better than everyone else.

Hhhhmmmm

Perhaps not a potential business partner for you there

She sounds like a twat

Christ on a pedalo!

Imagine what being her business partner would be like!

Step back, leave her to her own good self. She sounds as though she could easily offend her own shadow!
